Utah Symphony

For Christmas, we were given tickets to the Utah Symphony which featured the songs of Pixar.  I made up some packets for the kids to keep them engaged.  We also took Louis and Miles for their first time to such a fancy event and they did great!

Here's me and Louis at intermission.  Look how happy he is! I love it!

The kids had packets to check off when they heard the music from that movie.  I also made an information packet for Carter about Pixar because he'd been wanting to know about that company.  There was a cool ABC image I found too with Pixar characters.  They loved having stuff to do while they listened.

This one is side ways but would make a great poster.

The aftershot.

We had a WONDERFUL time!  The orchestra played all the major Pixar songs with video montages as well.  The live music was ssoooo amazing.  We couldn't decide which movie had the best music.

Our favorites:

Doug- Finding Nemo
Michelle-Ratatouille
Carter-Incredibles
Haleigh- Wall-E
Miles- Monsters, Inc.
Louis- Toy Story

Thanks to girl scouts, Carter, Haleigh and I got to go again to the Utah Symphony to hear the music of Harry Potter.  This time they didn't have a video and played some of Harry Potter and a lot of other magical sounding songs.  It sounded just as great but wasn't as fun as the Pixar concert.  I think the videos really made a difference for the audience. Overall, two great evenings!

Pictures at Church

I usually leave my phone at home and not bring it to church to avoid distractions but lately I've been bringing it to use to play primary songs in class.  Because of that...here are a bunch of pictures that some of my naughty children took when I wasn't looking.  Are taking pictures allowed at church?  I don't know, but it happened.

Here is when I asked Haleigh to take Wyatt to the bathroom to put water and finger brush his hair because we forgot to before we came.  That silly girl brought him back with a mohawk to get a rise out of me.  And yes, that is a lollipop he is eating in church.

Here is Miles giving a talk with me helping him.  I think Carter snuck these pictures when I made him leave class to support Miles.

Here is Miles trying not to act so shy by hitting his head over and over with his binder.  Love his bright red socks!

This last one caught the side face of Louis looking bored.  Too funny!

Boing-y Hair

Haleigh has been in the fun phase of wanting me to do her hair.  You'd understand my excitement when you realize all the years I was jipped of fun daughter hair with the infamous "Haircut incident" when she was little.  One of her favorite things is to have "Boing-y hair." She sometimes does my hair too so we can match.  I just love this girl!

February

Here is a mish-mash of all our February events.  I'm kinda glad I document life and blog about it because it goes by fast and there's a lot of action going on all the time.  I can look back and see the details that I often miss.

Playing monster with Dad.  Seeing screaming boys running and hiding is so entertaining!

Carter and I went on a date to a Harry Potter party at the library.

We followed it up with some dessert smore's at HuHot, a new place in town.  I seriously want one of these smore's kits!

Hanging around

Ninja's for a day.

Reading to the dog

The look from the upstairs balcony looking down on the mess that happens when I'm upstairs for too long. I'm not happy!

My latest study crave.
