November Pictures

Miles like to do things by himself these days.  Here he is before church one day.

Haleigh got a hold of the camera and took a picture of her favorite new friend, Sally.

Louis loves this sound effects book we have that plays songs.  He is singing at the top of his lungs here in baby talk.  It's highly entertaining to watch!

Thankful

Well we are back from all our holiday visiting and I'm pooped!  Packing everything, loading, unloading, playing, loading, unloading and putting it all away is hard work.  But we had a great time.  This week I've baked, cooked, cleaned and packed like never before.  Having a family of six can have it's challenges.  But now at the end of the week looking back, we spent time together, laughed a lot, the kids learned to sled, we ate good food, hugged lots of people we love and are grateful for our blessings.

Today we put away some fall/halloween/thanksgiving decorations to make room for the Christmas ones and the excitement was in the air.  We haven't put a thing up but already the kids are playing with their favorite things and saying, "Oh!  I love this one!  Remember this thing!  My turn! etc.  I don't even think we have the most chic holiday decorations but to them, everything is amazing and a favorite.  Anything that plays music makes Louis dance and smile.  They are even starting to remember ornaments that just have to go on the tree and the book they read every year.  Traditions just start to emerge over time.  This weekend, we are going to watch the parade I taped and do the tree and eat more yummy food.  I programmed the TV for all the holiday shows we can't miss and presents are on my mind.  I'm going to have to be creative this year.  It's going to be fun.  I love christmas time!

A Weekend Away

We spent some time in my Aunt and Uncle's cabin near Scofield, Utah and had a blast trying new things like four wheeling, hiking, playing with second cousins and fishing at the lake.  Carter even caught two fish which made Haleigh made since she only got "seaweed."  We had so much fun and can't wait to go back, this time with Doug.  It's amazing how they built it themselves!

October Pictures

Kids sitting shirt less by the fire.

The sign on Carter and Haleigh's latest fort.  Darn!  I've always wanted to go to Hogwarts castle.

More fall pics

I guess you can't really see the mountains off in the distance that are covered in white, but this is the first "snow capped" thing we've seen for a while.  Here are some pics off my phone about the fall leaves.
