The gym

A wonderful blessing that happened this fall is that we were able to finish one of the rooms in our basement and turn it into a gym.  Doug has a friend who tried to make it into an eagle project for his two sons but was denied permission, so his friend just helped us out anyway.  They spent many hours at our house framing, insulating, wiring, drywalling, and so on.  Most of the project was donated hours and materials.  One day, Doug and I snuck down there and wrote messages on the walls before drywall went up.

The day we painted the walls is the day the sewage backed up into the basement and then two days later the water heaters leaked causing a delay in our gym building schedule.  But we were able to finish it over the holidays, and the whole family loves it!  The whole project took about 6 months due to the delays but it is so worth it now!

Carter's World

Having a 14 year old is a world of fun.  Especially with this guy!

He's obsessed with pineapple's.

He likes to stage photos and make movies of them.

We discovered that his glasses could have sunglasses attached.

He likes his hair to be as high as possible.

He took elf pictures to post daily on Instagram.

Girls love to braid his hair at school.

He went to another EFY.

In woodshop, he learned to carve his own designs.  These are characters from a book he wrote.

Holidays

Beginning with Thanksgiving, we began the holiday season by seeing Moana and loved it!  Especially seeing my cousin's name in the credits!

I liked this picture there of the old BYU Academy, now Provo City Library.

Facetiming Scott in the Middle East in the restaurant

The weird concoction as they waited for everyone to be done.

Carter and I went to see a movie together. We loved it!

We set up our new Christmas tree!  First one we ever bought!

The kids put lights in their rooms this year.
