May Randoms

Some of these are from April, but I'm not picky.  As a wrap up of spring, there was lots of anticipation for spring to end and or some reason, a bunch of my kids got sick.  Some missed lots of school and I didn't even care.

A lot of these pictures are sick kids recuperating.

One weird day in late spring it snowed.  I was happy that by the end of the day it melted so we didn't have to shovel.

We tried to make kettle corn with a new gadget I got.  It failed the first few tries.

Carter's home economics class asked for little siblings to come so they could practice what a daycare or preschool.  Carter had Max and Wyatt come and they were so shy they didn't say two words.  Carter followed them around and was very cute with them.  They thought they were very grown up!

Loading Lucky Charms in his truck.

Storytime at the library...

He loved a Jedi party he went to...

Doug traveled to Chicago for business

He was fascinated with their toilet that automatically coated the lid in protective wrap after each flush.

Every time a spring shower came, I'd remember that I haven't fixed our raingutters.  One day got a whopper of a storm with hail and tons of downpour.  It was crazy.

We attended a graduation party for our neighbor that had three graduates!

Last Days of School

The school year wrapped up with gusto!

Last day of kindergarten means the very rare purchase of happy meals!

Last day of middle school means donuts for breakfast!

Hawaiian day a few days before the end of 7th grade.

Last day of 4th grade Doctorate medal for Haleigh.

Last day of first grade for Miles.

Gotta take pics of the rest of the observers...

Last day yearbooks!

Last day summer gifts (swim towels, books, flip flops)

The arrival of the Flory summer calendar of events to look forward to things.

Then we spend the first day of summer at Barnes and Noble picking some books to read for the summer and go out to dinner.

Carter made an awesome addition this year of things to do when we have nothing to do...poster.  We filled in the blanks when we complete them.

The kids also made up summer morning lists of what is expected when they wake up each day.  They fill them in with dry erase markers and erase for the next day.
