Star Student

He wanted to look cool!

Carter was star student last week at school and had a great time. We'd been hearing about it for months before and the time finally arrived. We made a poster together which we thought was the best because it was interactive for the class to touch. We also did a cooking activity with them where Carter made his classmates mini pizza's and rootbeer floats. He loves to cook at home and often asks if he can make dinner. It was cute to see him setting up his classroom while they were at recess. He was very particular about making it just right.

Dancing Queen

Haleigh is very excited to have begun taking tap dancing and ballet classes. Tap is new for her so she wanted to share it with everyone. I love how she is a combination of shy and show off.

Saddle Up!

For Michelle's Dad's 60th birthday, each sibling gave him a coupon for an adventure sometime that year. We took him on his adventure in October and here are the pics from it.

Rodeo Recap including Our Horses Names

The Hat Trick by Haleigh

Erv...Clean up on Aisle Seven.. Erv...I wasn't even in aisle seven, I swear!

I decided today to get the kids out of the house and head to Safeway. I usually avoid the store with three little ones but I thought I would let them enjoy a venture outdoors and every mom knows that store has cool car carts for two to drive with room for one car seat on top of the cart. After mastering all the logistics and with everyone in their place, I headed to grab a big bag of sugar, check the sale on meat, head across the store for eggs, remember I forgot to grab cold syrup at the pharmacy, then circle back for a few other items I missed because I didn't look at my shopping list until halfway through the store. What's the rush? We were out the house and might as well go see what Christmas things they have out up front...

This is when I discover that the bag of sugar I had grabbed had sprung a leak right as I put it on my cart and had slowly been leaving a messy meandering path here, there and everywhere around the store. The meat lady was the first to spot it and ran with full speed to the intercom to announce to the store the emergency situation of the lunatic mom who left a white dusty trail all over. In my defense, the white floor camaflouged the sugar and I thought my shoes were just dusty. Haleigh kept saying, "Uh, Oh! You're in trouble mom! Are you going to be in timeout?" I think I'll take that time out in a bubble bath tonight. Sigh!
