General Conference

I had some great shots of us enjoying conference but then messed up the settings on my new phone and lost them.  Ugh... the pain it gives me to lose pictures.  Anyways, I took a few after shots of the projects and conference fun that we enjoyed while listening to our apostles.  I'm extra sad that I lost the many pics of Doug sleeping (Conference naps are on our top 10 naps list) and the kids buried him in stuffed animals.  Luckily, we have general conference every 6 months and he'll probably nap then and we can do it again.

A few new ideas this time were:
less candy for each special word said, and instead a special treat we hardly get when the apostles attached to them give their talk.  They really loved it and we'll adopt this for next time.

We didn't do packets this time, and instead worked on a few projects that I wanted to finish up.  We made our family history poster for our yearly goals with room for temple cards...

We made a poster ahead of time, of the prophets faces and a little information about them (found in the Friend magazine) and while they gave their talk, post it noted our impressions or quotes we liked.  Later, I put them on paper to review as I revisit the talks in the Ensign.

Fixing our broken characters in the Bible and Book of Mormon poster.  We had these on the wall and they were always falling so now all these projects are on display boards that we can take out at family night and put away easily.

Carter fixed up our old "organ" and created a doublesided one with a secret compartment for the conductors stick.  They love to pretend to play and lead during the song breaks.
