We spent a lot springtime at the soccer fields with three kids on teams this year and two games a week each. Haleigh has played for about four years now and loves it.
Carter tried soccer for the first time this year and was surprised to
find that he was pretty good at it! He even got the last goal of the
season and had a memorable double game in the pouring rain one day.
Miles
made another attempt at soccer (he had tried it when he was 4 and sat in the middle
of the field crying and pulling grass the whole time). He decided he was
nuts back then and was ready to have some fun. Doug coached him team and
there is very little in the world as cute as a bunch of kindergarteners chasing
around a soccer ball. They had a great time and Miles got so excited
whenever the ball came his way that he would dance around and miss it half the
time.
(still picks grass when he's on the sideline...)
