March

Why am I always two months behind on this blog!?!

March around here was low-key.  Winter was finishing up and spring was coming out.  We ended basketball and began soccer.  We laid around a lot and enjoyed spring break.  Here are some random shots. I wish my May was more March-ish.  I'm exhausted!

Soccer Time

We spent a lot springtime at the soccer fields with three kids on teams this year and two games a week each.  Haleigh has played for about four years now and loves it.

Carter tried soccer for the first time this year and was surprised to find that he was pretty good at it!  He even got the last goal of the season and had a memorable double game in the pouring rain one day.

Miles made another attempt at soccer (he had tried it when he was 4 and sat in the middle of the field crying and pulling grass the whole time).  He decided he was nuts back then and was ready to have some fun.  Doug coached him team and there is very little in the world as cute as a bunch of kindergarteners chasing around a soccer ball.  They had a great time and Miles got so excited whenever the ball came his way that he would dance around and miss it half the time.
(still picks grass when he's on the sideline...)

Springtime

Mornings are often spent outside playing in the springtime.  I love that I can open the windows for fresh air!

We also love to catch Tinkerbells in the air in springtime and then make a wish.  There is tons in the air right now from the trees!

We also love to see all the clouds in spring.  On this day there was light on the bottom of the mountain and dark rainy clouds on the top part of the mountain.  Aaaahh...spring!

Spring Break Trip

For Spring Break, Doug surprised us with a trip to St. George to explore and enjoy a night away.  The kids LOVE hotels and we had a blast swimming.  I took some pictures of what a road trip looks like with 6 kids.  With our big passenger van, you can't even see Carter in that back row (I think that's how he likes it!) I studied during the whole drive and luckily the two toddlers slept a lot.

We went out to eat at BrickOven, one of our favorite pizza joints and then the big kids had a night swim, followed up by a morning family swim the next day.

One fun thing we tried before leaving town was a famous donut shop called Fractured Prune where you choose a type of donut, then choose the icing, then choose the topping.
