When the Big Boys are Away...

While Doug and Carter were at scout camp, the rest of us kept busy.

I found these love notes for me from the kids.

Haleigh practiced face painting the boys.

I studied in the guest room a lot while the kids played out in the sprinklers.

Slumber party in moms room.

We played restaurant for days, taking orders and preparing fake food.

Haleigh had a Wii marathon with a new game.

This is what dinner preparations look like usually.  Assembly line hamburgers on this night.

Haleigh and I had a date night staying up to watch Teen Beach Movie 2.  I got us matching PJs, barbie Uno cards, Costa Vida and we did our nails.

More restaurant time.  Haleigh, Miles, and I were the customers for the little one's while we played Uno.  Haleigh, of course, decided to be the mean restaurant critic to whatever they brought her.

I was VERY happy to be able to get a babysitter and go see a lecture and exhibit about the Little Golden Books.  It was fascinating!

I tried a new restaurant called Baked in Provo during the children's book conference and later attended a dinner.  It's one of the highlights of my year.

There were many bubble baths.

and American Girl Doll playtime.
