Payson Temple Open House

For the opening of the temple in the nearest town to us, Doug and I got to volunteer as parking attendances one night.  There were thousands of people that went to see it that day and we were busy!  I had to stand about 6 feet away from a protestor shouting terrible things about our church which wasn't fun.  When people walking by would look at me and apologize that I had to listen to that for hours and hours, I just joked that I'm a mom of sick and can tune out all sort of noise.  It was a fun but tiring night.  We got rained on, but had fun with our light sabers and walkie talkies.

On a different stormy day, we took my grandma who is 90 and raised in Payson to the open house tour with my Uncle also.  I was so happy to go with her because it meant so much to her and also because when you're 90, you can poke the loud teenagers who sit in front of you in the sides to stop messing around and it's very funny to watch.

I love those top two pics of Doug! They capture his fun personality perfectly. You'll always remember all the fun things you get to do with Grandma while you're living close to her.
