We headed to the mall on Christmas Eve which wasn't too busy, surprisingly. Granny Linda from Texas had arrived and I needed to get a few more things on my list. We enjoyed pretzels and a visit to Santa. Did you know if you take your own pictures, it's free? He had to get going back to the north pole though for his busy night.
Following the mall, the kids and granny finally built our gingerbread house and watched a movie while mom prepared our traditional 7 course Christmas Eve meal.
After dinner, we opened up our new PJ's and got ready for the show the kids had prepared.
Louis and Miles sang Alvin and the Chipmunks Hula Hoop song and danced to another.
Miles sang "Believe" while Haleigh danced by the Christmas tree in the dark while Carter spotlighted her.
Carter was the director, as usual. He performed a song for us as well.
Doug and Max hanging out.
Carter sharing his Traditions around the world project with all the ornaments he made.
I think the six kids are wearing her out...:)
Carter was the DJ too.
Dad read Twas the night before Christmas
And I'll have to find the video of the kids Grand Finale, a group song of When Christmas Comes to Town from Polar Express.
One of my favorite things this christmas were the lists that the kids made. Here is the rough draft of a letter I found to Santa from Carter. It has his best handwriting and very fancy language.
