Well we are back from all our holiday visiting and I'm pooped! Packing everything, loading, unloading, playing, loading, unloading and putting it all away is hard work. But we had a great time. This week I've baked, cooked, cleaned and packed like never before. Having a family of six can have it's challenges. But now at the end of the week looking back, we spent time together, laughed a lot, the kids learned to sled, we ate good food, hugged lots of people we love and are grateful for our blessings.
Today we put away some fall/halloween/thanksgiving decorations to make room for the Christmas ones and the excitement was in the air. We haven't put a thing up but already the kids are playing with their favorite things and saying, "Oh! I love this one! Remember this thing! My turn! etc. I don't even think we have the most chic holiday decorations but to them, everything is amazing and a favorite. Anything that plays music makes Louis dance and smile. They are even starting to remember ornaments that just
have to go on the tree and the book they read every year. Traditions just start to emerge over time. This weekend, we are going to watch the parade I taped and do the tree and eat more yummy food. I programmed the TV for all the holiday shows we can't miss and presents are on my mind. I'm going to have to be creative this year. It's going to be fun. I love christmas time!
