Gila Valley Temple

Just got back in town from a short day trip out to Thatcher, AZ to see the new LDS temple. The kids LOVED it. Haleigh was expecting to see Jesus inside since its "HIs" house and when she didn't see him, she said that he must be in heaven and will probably come down when he has to fix something. Makes sense! Carter was very curious about all the beautiful rooms and his favorite was the baptismal room since he gets baptized this summer. Miles was great at pointing out Jesus on all the amazing paintings and Louis added his own nice touch. In one of the rooms, our tour guide was quietly preparing us to go in the celestial room which is the most peaceful and majestic of all the rooms. After he finished telling us that he would not speak in that room so that we could really hear and feel the reverent peace it offers, Louis added a nice loud burp that echoed against the walls. Haleigh and Carter were pretty good about holding in their laughter through gritted teeth. We liked looking in the mirrors in the sealing room where people get married since you can see your reflection in it forever and ever. Overall, it was a good family day and the temple was very very beautiful. Here are some pics of us on the ride with ice cream.
