House Projects

Here is a storyline in pictures of the last 6 months of house projects.  I'm so glad we are taking a break from any more for now!

1.  A leak from the kitchen to basement.

Here is water coming down through the ducts.

The buckets on the floor that collected water for two days.  Note to self...pumpkin buckets have a hole in the bottom and don't collect water.  Duh!

On the bright side, now I know what the leveling is down there and can anticipate the type of floor to put in when we finish the basement.

2.  A room in the basement was built for our food storage.  Here's what it looked like with dry wall and a ceiling, door and electrical.

3.  Shelves were built all over the house.

Here is the garage.

When it was finished with a workbench.  Doug also painted the floor.

Here is the food storage room.

Food on floor the past year.  It was our #1 goal to get it off the ground.

 The TV room with added shelves in cabinets and for tv areas.  We painted and distressed them to match existing shelves.

4.  I decided to spruce up the pantry with some paint.  Here is how our food looked for a week.  It was very hard to keep the kids out of it.

5.  Magnetic chalkboard paint in playroom and pantry

6.  Painting a bathroom from orange to blue with while trim.

7.  Decided to move rocks from backyard area to front yard and create a walking path around house.

That's all for now...next goal...finishing kitchen floor and adding electrical to basement.  It's probably going to have to wait a while.
