Happy Birthday Doug!
Happy 40th Birthday today to my tall, not so dark, and very handsome husband Doug! If any of you have a memory to share of him, post it here for a happy birthday gift to him. Maybe as a present, I'll set him up with his own FB account since he currently uses mine to chat with friends. I love you Doug!

Happy Birthday Dad! I hope you have a swell birthday. Remember when we were at the D-backs game and you came down with me and sat by me when I said Play Ball? I hope you get the presents you ever wanted and I wish you a happy birthday. Yeah!
Happy Birthday Dad. I hope you have a fun day on your birthday and all the presents from the people in your family and we're going to have a fun trip with you. Happy Birthday Dad from Haleigh.
Happy Birthday, Doug. One of my best memories of you was very recent, and I wasn't even there for it, but I watched a video of it on your blog. It was when you were bearing your testimony about baptism to Carter. I wasn't even there, and it still made me cry.
A funny (now, but not then) recent memory of you was how frustrated you got at how much stuff you and Michelle had when you were moving into the storage unit. You said something to the effect, "I'm just ready to get rid of it all!!" I still laugh when I think of all those trampoline poles breaking out of the box and falling everywhere (totally my fault), but we were all awesome in figuring out how to get that fridge down!
I also love the memory at the reunion in Utah over the 4th of July when you made that INCREDIBLE grilled corn on the cob and let me have the first taste. Very cool.
I also have lots of great memories of you playing with the kids at various family get togethers, and helping my girls to have such a fun time with their cousins. You really do have a way with kids that's impressive! My kids love you. I also have enjoyed watching you crack up at your own kids and the funny things they do (concerts, dress up, etc.)
Hope you have a great day. We miss you!
Love, Tiffany
Doug, Happy birthday! One of my favorite Doug memories was staying up late with Doug on a certain Christmas Eve two years ago to help make certain preparations for The Big Guy. We were up super late, and Doug helped me with all the wrapping and arranging. To everyone's surprise, no one shot their eye out either. Learning from his master grilling skills last summer was also a highlight. The man simply knows his way around a flame with some meat. And I can respect that. His Texan side reveals itself, he gets that carnivorous look in his eyes, and I won't be able to look at a side of ribs and a barbecue brush without blushing ever again. Hope you have a great day! Best regards, Jase
