It was a tough time this year, no lie.  

Our beloved front yard had to be torn up to replace the entire sewer line from the house to the road due to a wrong pipe being built with the house.  They flagged all the utilities wrong cutting through many important lines that had to be fixed like sprinklers, cable, and power.

The sprinklers were damaged due to the sinking cement walkway.

The yard was dug up for three days with no water or sewer for the household.  It was a 12 foot deep hole.  

Now it's just a huge pile of muddy dirt that needs to get fixed in the spring.

Halloween

We love Halloween around here because it is the beginning of the holiday season in our minds.  The kids love figuring out their costume and prepping for CANDY.  We usually have a ton of parties to go to, but this year we stuck to our motto of "Simplify, Say No, and Be Selective of our Time."  The kids didn't notice a thing and had a great time.

For the first time ever, we surprised the kids and dressed up too.  Doug was so proud to finally be Willy Wonka with his new cane.
