You know what makes me really grumpy? When I find five free minutes and sit down on my computer to see what my friends out in the world are up to with their families. I glance at my blog list and see that almost everyone I know hasn't posted on their blog for over a year or two or three...Should I delete them? What if they decide to suddenly begin blogging? I can't miss that return post!
It makes me frustrated that I love blogging, but no one that I know around here blogs. So...I sat down this morning and decided to add some blogs to my blog list of other big families out there, or suggested blogs from friends. Perhaps if I befriend, follow (online stalk) people who actually like blogging, I can get to know more people, learn how other moms out there are making it work, and have something to read once in a while on here.
Here was my criteria...
I want to read blogs that are inspiring and uplifting.
I chose blogs that have a post within the last month. If you can't post in January when everyone resolves to be better at things, then they probably aren't dedicated to their blog.
I added blogs to my list that had big bright pictures. Word heavy ones are too much for me. I like the pics.
I love blogs about families, kids, motherhood, christian people, and especially big families. Less about tips for organizing your closet and so on.
If they had a list o their favorite blogs on the side that had also posted recently, that helped.
So...on my side list of friends are now people I've never met, but plan on getting to know. I'm excited!
