Valentine's Day

I'm always about a month behind on here after I upload all our photos from phone cameras x3, and my real camera, organize it and write something up.  So...Here are some posts about a month behind.  When reading my blog, just subtract a month and you'll know what our family is up to.  

For VDay we stayed home and had a steak dinner (my favorite) and tried out my new chocolate fountain.  Plus, my hubby got his two girls our favorite...roses.  Thanks Doug!

The kids decided to "go to work" one day and so they set up little offices.  Carter was the boss of course.  I wish I had these kind of jobs!

You had to be there

I keep wanting to write down some funny things the kids have said lately, so I'm putting them here till I get more organized. (That'll be a while! :)) 

Haleigh:  I just can't stop my brain from being excited about Top Dog!  (her show and tell bag at school that she brought home.)

One day Haleigh got to drive the neighbors play jeep and I peeked at her out the window to see her with one arm upon the side of the car while driving (just like grandpa...if you've seen him drive) and talking on the CB.  I asked her what she was saying later and she told me, "I'll take a large pepperoni with extra cheese, and extra pepperoni... and a thin crust."

Mom to Miles: "Do you love baby Wyatt?"

Miles who is always very matter of fact:  "No.  I like girls."

Carter to Mom:  "Have I told you the story of the truck?"  

Mom:  "No."

Carter:  "I was in science rotations sitting next to a girl I like (name withheld or he'll kill me!) and we had to draw trucks.  She looked at my drawing and said, 'Nice truck.'  I said 'thank you.'  Then I looked at her truck and told her 'I like your truck.'  and she said 'thank you.' and that's the story of the truck."

Mom, nodding very seriously:  "Wow. Good story!"

We had friends over one day to play and I couldn't believe Wyatt was almost as big as them and holding his own.  He's growing up!

I love when kids look so  busy and serious when they are playing.

Babymoon

Doug and I took a night away from the kids for a honeymoon, I mean babymoon and had so much fun.  First we went out to dinner at a steakhouse (I'm a meat and potatoes type girl) and every bite was a piece of heaven.  Next we went to a comedy show with Brian Regan. We've seen him a few times and his clean comedy never disappoints.  My face hurt so much afterward from laughing!  We had awesome seats too!  Look how close!   A night of hot tubbing and 8 hours in a row of sleep was heavenly too!  Thanks Doug for spoiling me!
