Ogden

This fall we took a trip up to the city of Ogden for the temple open house.  Before it started, we toured the city and found this awesome school with an airplane over the office door.  I met a teacher who works there at a local donut shop who told me about their summer space camps that sleep over in the classrooms and then do simulations during the day.  Very cool!

After eating lunch at McD's we met up with one of Doug's bosses who was traveling through Utah.  We met at Union Station which is a museum of old trains.  I kept the kids busy with an impromtu photoshoot while Doug chatted.

When the kids got restless, we decided to get some food at the restaurant there and Miles and I fell in love with this cookie hot fudge sundae.  It was seriously good!

Then on to the temple for a 2 hour weight and a one hour tour.  It was beautiful!

Roller Coaster

The kids were introduced to a great family classic called "Rollercoaster."  First you pile a pillow on a couch, then add a kid, then more pillows and another kid, and so on.  Lay like that for a while.  Then fall over onto the floor if you want.

Girl Scout Time

There was a national convention for Girl Scouts in SLC this fall so Haleigh and I went to check it out.  We had a funner time at the mall beforehand.

She also got to tour a local hospital for Girl Scouts and sit in the emergency helicopter.

For her girl scout rewards party for selling cookies she painted this at a pottery place. It turned out great!

There was also a swim party at our new favorite splash pad.  They mastered the "mermaid hair flip."
