Basketball

Wow this seems like a long time ago!  There's still snow on the ground.  I need to catch up on this blog!  Carter was in his fifth year of basketball and did great!  He really enjoyed having friends on his team this year.  We had fun as a family playing around at his games.  The other kids cheered him on, explored the halls and climbed bleachers.  Doug and Carter could be found by a hoop everyday for months!

April Pics

Our April was filled with a lot of projects.  Springtime was here and Doug was hopeful about a few jobs so we got busy with some house repairs.  We went to a few nurseries and got plants for the garden, tilled it, and got everything ready for planting.

One night I stayed up till 2 to see the lunar eclipse.  I've never seen one before and my camera didn't capture it but it was very neat to see.

I was avoiding a lot of school projects and thought one day that I wanted to read a real book and checked all these out at the library.  Then weeks later after not opening any of them due to all my HW, I returned them to the library.  But first took a picture to remember that I want to read these one day.

Doug hitting the tops of the boys heads to make them stop growing up so fast.  Then stretching them
when they wanted to grow taller anyway.

Washing all the carpets with our new vacuum/shampooer from funds from our basement flood. I've been wanting to do this every since we moved in so I was very excited.

Doug fixing our sink faucet.  I usually tease him that he is a Cliff Huxtable from The Cosby Show about wanting to do house project with a small skill set in repairs, but he did great and we only had no sink for 3 days.  You should have seen our kitchen! Yikes!  Dirty dishes took over!

The boys waiting by the front door for visitors to come over.

Trying out a new donut place that opened up.

Happy

After 8 months of unemployment, this is how our family of 8 feels about our dad getting a new job today.
